PRESTON skipper Sean Gregan has clawed his way back into the reckoning for Preston's Division Two double whammy this Easter weekend.
But manager David Moyes could choose to ignore his captain and field an unchanged side at Colchester tonight after last week's 3-0 hammering of Northampton at Deepdale.
Moyes was so pleased with last week's performance that skipper Gregan could find himself frozen out of the side.
The former Darlington star - out for three weeks with a knee injury - is the only name on Preston's injury list set to return to action this weekend with Lee Cartwright, Ryan Kidd and Dominic Ludden all still on the treatment table.
If Gregan does not break into the starting line up, Michael Jackson will again deputise as captain and Jon Macken should keep his place.
Preston play their most anticipated home date of the season on Monday when Manchester City are the guest stars at Deepdale. With City just two places behind in the table, the game is a "six pointer" which Preston cannot afford to lose.
An army of Maine Road supporters are expected to converge on the town and kick off has been brought forward to 12noon on police advice.
Squad: Lucas, Alexander, Eyres, Murdock, Jackson, Appleton, Macken, Rankine, Nogan, Basham, McKenna, Darby, McGregor, Harris, Winstanley, Gregan, Moilanen.
