LAYTON Institute, favourites for the Lancashire small table "ten reds" snooker tournament, coasted through to the quarter-finals with a 4-0 win over Jimmy Nelson's SC, Nelson.
Also through are Falcon No 2 from Poulton who, as Durban, are current champions. Falcon beat Darwen's Borough Hotel 4-2. Cemetery, last season's runners-up, crashed 4-1 to another Darwen side Hoddlesden, while Alexandra (Nelson) beat Rishton Free Gardeners 4-2 to book their place in the competition which is sponsored by Claremont Con Club.
