LOUISE PRESCOTT from Year 10 of St Mary's High School, Blackpool writes:
YEAR 10 pupils have been treated to a day in the Army.
Arriving at Fulwood Barracks, some dressed in combat gear, the only thing the pupils knew for definite was that a very heavy day lay ahead for them.
Talks, discussions, lunch and hands-on experience of shooting with laser guns got the day off to a busy start.
The thing which most people had been looking forward to was the assault course which was obviously pretty tough.
The course presented a tremendous challenge even to those who considered themselves fit and, naturally, to those who knew they were athletically challenged it seemed all but impossible.
As the day drew to a close the pupils piled back on the coach exhausted but exhilarated.
