Weaverham 14 Bold Miners 32 BOLD gained promotion with a great win that saw them blasted through the 800 points mark for the season.
Weaverham took the lead with a converted try after six minutes, but the Miners replied when Chris Burgess crashed over. Gary Talbot opened up the Weaverham defence to put the Miners ahead with a good touch down.
Weaverham regained the lead a few minutes later with a well taken try. Gary Talbot shot over for his second try to put the Miners back in the lead just before half time 10-12.
Mark Rigby and Gareth Hill, were too elusive and fast for the Weaverham outfit and Hill hoodwinked the homesters for a great try.
Chris Burgess added his second try and Dave Scott went over to put the result beyond doubt for the Miners. Ste Prole scored the try of the game when he side stepped through the defence to score from 40 metres.
Gary Talbot took the Grundy Excavations man of the match award in a brilliant team effort.
