BURY people are being encouraged to help thousands of Third World children by supporting the Government's new Gift Aid 2000 scheme.
The call comes from Bury North MP David Chaytor who has started the ball rolling by donating £100, on top of which the taxman will give £30.
The scheme will fund education and anti-poverty projects in the world's 80 poorest countries. People can contribute by phoning 0845 075 2000.
