POLICE are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed a fight between two teenage boys, which ended up with one of the boys being stabbed by an onlooker from the crowd which had gathered to watch.
The fight between two 15-year-old boys broke out in Markfield Crescent, Islands Brow, between 10pm and 10.30pm on Friday, March 26.
During the fight one of the teenage crowd ran out and stabbed one of the boys in the buttock with a knife. The injured boy was taken by ambulance to Whiston Hospital, where he was treated.
A spokesman for the police, said: "This situation could have been a lot worse and we would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
"Carrying an offensive weapon is a serious offence and will be treated as such."
