LEIGH ATHLETIC chopped league leaders Chaddertonians down to size in a 4-1 thumping.
Rob Lysons and Danny Wilson put them in prime position, Chads settled and grabbed a lifeline, but Athletic hit back with Craig Little's flying header and a Gordon Walker penalty.
Athletic U16s lost 2-1 to Swinton Boys, almost denting the Manchester side's 100% record. Phillips hit the target to set up a furious last 20 minutes; Athletic Youth won 6-0 at Mostonians to stay top of their Lancashire Amateur League (Slinger 3, MoM Wilcox, Phillips, Urmston).
LEIGH BOROUGH beat Stocks 5-1 with goals from Wilson 2, Lumb 2 and Brian Edwards.
HINDSFORD lost 5-3 at Whalley Range, the five coming in an amazing 25 minutes of good finishing and bad defending. The three came from Nick Molyneaux, Chris Jolley and a Darren Briggs penalty.
