REGARDING your article on the car sales company being fined £5,000 (LET, March 29). How can people be so cheeky?

Buying cheap clearance cars and then complaining to trading standards!

Mr Devlin says the car he bought had so much rust the driver's door wouldn't close, so why did he part with his cash? It should be pretty obvious to most people that these trade clearance cars at such low prices are a big gamble.

Surely people should have someone inspect any car before buying it.
