MANAGING director Ian Aitcheson has set the trend for his staff!
Ian, boss of Blackburn-based Riva Fabrics and sister firm Denise Fabrics, took a high level National Vocational Qualification and now members of his 48-strong workforce followed suit.
Lynda Hammond, Joanne Ramsey and Gary Brown achieved NVQ level four in management and Bob Harwood and Lavinia Hinde were awarded an NVQ level three in supervisory management. "Every member of staff at Riva and Denise plays an important part in creating business successes which is why everyone of them is encouraged to access specialist job skills training," said Ian.
"The early signs are that this will make a big difference to staff retention and skill levels and help us to achieve our goal of profitable business growth."
