THE record of Sell on Site has been expunged following their shock resignation from the Blackburn Sunday League Division One.
This has given a complete new look to the league table as Kings Inn, New Gardeners and Old Toll Bar all lose points from wins over Sell on Site, while Darwen Alexandra are unaffected as they previously lost to Sell on Site.
The championship now looks to be between Kings Inn and Darwen Alexandra who meet in two weeks time.
After Sunday's shortened programme due to the Easter holidays, Darwen Alexandra move to the top of the table following an impressive victory over LFA Sunday League campions Old Toll Bar.
The Alex goals game from Denny Khan, Steve Lynch, Jerome Fitzgerald and an own goal. Craig Foulds replied for Old Toll Bar.
New Gardeners completed their programme with a comprehensive win against Station. The Gardeners goals came from David Berry (two), Craig Shorrock, Steve Whittaker and Danny Kirby with Paul Mashiter again on target for Station. The White Bull and Jubilee game ended goalless.
In Division Two, Servicemaster remain top despite being inactive this weekend. Lammack, with the best defensive record in the league, having conceded only eight goals, move into second place thanks to a Shaun Gambles goal which earned a point in the 1-1 draw with Witton Inn, for whom Mick Ingham scored.
The Moorings move into fourth place following a six-goal demolition of Darwen St Peters. Gary Bush led the way with a hat trick and Mark Boyle got two with Karl Beaumont completing the scoring. The Aqueduct and Foresters match was marred when Aqueduct's M Cook broke a leg just before half time. His team were two goals ahead when the incident occurred and went on to win 3-1. Their goals came from Stuart Leadgley (two) and John Entwistle with Foresters' reply coming from Chris Rolfe.
In the Third Division, leaders Swan hit four without reply against bottom club James Street. George Esler, Brian O'Keefe, Howard Clark and Gary Foulds were the Swan scorers.
Marriotts Accountants move up from seventh to fourth place after a win by the odd goal in five against Fox and Hounds. Gary Cronshaw (two) and Alec Hodgson got the Accountants goals with Steve Dunne and Dave Denton replying for the Hounds.
Uncle Jack's move into second place defeating Walmsley whose promotion challenge looks now to have ended. Two goals each from Bernard Cullen and Michael Ashton and a fifth from Paul Lysons were on target for Uncle Jacks, while Walmsley's replies came from Sean Ryan and Gary Walsh.
