I WOULD like to comment on NATO's action concerning Kosovo. As many have pointed out, NATO has, for some time, made many mistakes which have added to the plight of the Kosovo Albanians.
NATO began the bombing of Serbia without the UN Security Council's sanction. We have been told that in this instance, it was not necessary to obtain it. So it is obvious that NATO makes its own rules, and Tony Blair goes along with that. So of what use is the UN?
NATO has now compounded its wrong decisions by waging war on Serbia - bombing them to their knees, or as Nixon declared during the Vietnam war, "bombing them back into the stone age".
They have forgotten what was agreed by all the military experts after the Second World War, that bombing a country never achieved anything.
NATO is first and foremost responsible for all that has happened and all future repercussions. Wasn't it this organisation which de-stabilised USSR and the Balkans which were, until then, united and peaceful.
Whenever the Americans interfere in other countries, there is nothing but death and destruction.
