HUGE job losses in engineering are predicted over the next two years in the wake of falling orders, according to a gloomy new survey today.
The Engineering Employers' Federation warns that up to 170,000 jobs could be lost in the industry over the next two years.
A survey of more than 1,800 engineering firms between January and March of this year shows that output declined sharply for the third consecutive quarter.
