JUBILANT Higher Fold Village Inn have won the first trophy of the season in the Leigh & District Amateur Football League.
They beat Union Arms 7-3 in the Redwaters Coronation Cup Final to thrill a good crowd at Atherton Colls.
Fold leapt clear with a double from Stephen Critchley (the second a penalty) before Union hit back via Paul Monaghan and Jason Huyton.
The goals flowed in the second half as Fold dominated with doubles from MoM Neil Clayton and Geoff Myers; Colin Niemiec pulled one back before an Andy Corrigan og ended it.
In the Davenport Cup Steve Hewitt hit a hat-trick as Leigh Avenue beat New Inn Rangers.
