A PRESTON school is to receive £7,400 to help improve access for the disabled.
Blessed Sacrament RC School is the first in the area to benefit from a hand-out of £2.9 million for the North West by education and employment secretary David Blunkett.
Announcing the awards, Mr Blunkett said: "We are committed to promoting the inclusion of children with special education needs within mainstream schools wherever possible.
The money will be used to improve access to and movement around buildings; accommodation such as sound-proofing and reduce pupils' home to school travelling times.
