THIS weekend the first Tour of Lincs Hillrally will run along side the more traditional Stage Rally which has been in the motorsport calendar for the past 28 years.
From its base at Market Rasen Racecourse, the first stage will at Cadwell Park on Saturday afternoon where the action will start at 1pm. With both the stage event and Hillrally doing two stages there and the rally cars returning to complete another circuit in the dark, there will be plenty of action to keep the spectators entertained. Morecambe will be represented by Westgate's Katy Mashiter as she co-drives in the two two and a quarter petrol Land Rover of Adrian Loxam. The Carnforth Land Rover Spares supported vehicle has undergone a few changes from last year, after it was discovered that the front axle was bent and in need of some attention and, in an effort to strengthen the back up, the original axle was replaced with a stronger Salisbury edition. They will take their place in the full entry of 90 4x4 vehicles and over 100 rally cars for the weekend's competition.
