VOLUNTEERS are desperately needed to help Lancaster and Morecambe women who have been abused by men.
Workers at Lancaster and District Women's Aid charity want women who feel they can help to attend a series of courses they are running once a week from Tuesday, April 27.
Said one charity worker: "We want people who can help in any way at all. Whether it's talking to the women or whether you can help in other practical ways like driving. Basically we really need volunteers who can help. It's a very rare thing for us not to be full and sometimes we have mothers in here with up to five children."
Women interested in helping the charity can contact them by writing to LDWA, PO Box 23, Lancaster, LA1 4GP.
