IT will be all white on the night - and the afternoon - for PNE next season as they drop their navy shorts at the end of this season.
Player power has dictated the colour of PNE's kit next season, and the fashion-conscious squad want to wear all white home kits.
The Real Madrid look will be adopted after designers consulted with the players and manager David Moyes over what they want to be seen in on the pitch next season, hopefully in Division One.
And Preston's goalkeepers can breathe a sigh of relief - the shocking fluorescent yellow kit will be packed away in favour of a subtler all-navy outfit.
The new look kit should be unveiled before Preston North End play Fulham at Craven Cottage on the final day of the season, May 8.
But it will be the new away kit that goes on display for the match.
The club have decided to launch a red and navy blue kit for next season after experimenting with the colours at away games earlier this season after both of the current kits clashed with Bristol Rovers' home shirt.
The new away shirt will be mainly red with a blue chunk over the shoulders which will curve over the arms as well.
The shorts will be blue with red a trim, as will the socks.
Red shorts with a blue trim will also be available to the players, but will not go on sale in the club shop.
Designer Steve White said: "This variation gives us a number of permutations.
"We chose red because it gives us less chance of clashing with the opposition.
"The royal blue kit we launched two years ago was hugely popular with the fans but it clashed too often with other teams' home kits."
The latest fabrics will be used to make the shirts as comfortable as possible, ensuring the players don't get too hot during a game.
No official date has been set for the launch of the shirts. PNE officials may even launch it at midnight at the Deepdale Kit shop.
Deputy chairman Derek Shaw said: "A lot of people want a change of shirt to wear and we have been asked when the new ones will be unveiled for quite a while.
"Many fans look forward to a new kit every year and I am sure this one will be very popular."
