THERE is a definite feeling of deja vu about the latest comic adventures at St Joseph's Players.
"A Funny Thing Didn't Happen" is the second of two one-act plays to be staged by the Leigh company next week under the "Celebration" banner.
They honour the work of Dorothy Galvin, who has now retired after more than 50 years writing, acting and directing.
And many of the current cast appeared when the play was first written for a 1972 drama festival.
Playing the same roles twenty seven years on are Fred Barnes, Joan Doorey, Josie Evans and J B Griffin.
And Marie Hoffman has switched roles for this show, taking on a part played by Mary Sutton - who is now the director.
J B is also director for the first one-act "Per Ardua Ad Astra".
Tickets (including cheese and wine in informal evenings of comedy, music and chat) for both shows (April 13-16) are available at Boardman's, Bradshawgate, Leigh; they are also now on sale for the company's next play (May18-21), the Francis Durbridge thriller "A Touch of Danger". Patrons may also pay at the door.
