A FRAIL pensioner was pinned to the floor by two cowardly thugs who ransacked her flat.
The 85-year-old woman was held down during the afternoon burglary at her Clegg Street home in Whitefield on Tuesday, April 6. The thieves escaped with her handbag and purse containing cash. The men got into her flat through an insecure door.
One of the men forced the old lady to the floor and knelt across her to hold her down.
His accomplice then searched the flat before stealing her handbag and purse which contained £80.
One of the men is described as being in his 20s, 5ft 9in tall, of slim build, with fair, tight curly hair and pale complexion and he was wearing a blue coat.
The second man was of the same age, 5ft 7in in height, of medium build, and he was wearing a dark baseball cap and light grey and blue striped top.
