A MAN was attacked by a group of youths in Thatto Heath.
The 34 year old had just got off a train at Thatto Heath station and was passing a grassed area in Elephant Lane when the attack happened at 10pm on Friday, March 26.
The gang knocked him to the ground and beat him unconscious. When he came round, two young women helped him to his feet and he later went to Whiston Hospital where he was found to be suffering from a broken nose and cheekbone and severe facial bruising.
He was unable to provide a description of his attackers but anyone who was in the area at the time is asked to contact DC Mick Bowes at St Helens CID on 0151 777 6064 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
