POLICE in St Helens are on the look out for MOT certificates stolen from a garage by a robber, who is believed to have been armed with a knife.
The man, who wore a balaclava, entered the RMC service station in Southworth Road, Newton-le-Willows at about 5.40pm on Wednesday, March 31, and confronted the manager who was on his own. He produced what is believed to have been a knife and demanded that the manager hand over a book of MOT certificates (reference numbers YPO978743 to YPO978800).
The robber is described as white, aged between 20 and 30, 5ft 10in tall, slim build. He was wearing a dark green jacket.
