DAVE Watts, MP for St. Helens North was on hand to encourage members of Age Concern, St. Helens at the launch of their 'National Know Your Rights Week.'
This will be taking place at The Mansion House Age Concern, Victoria Park from Tuesday, April 13, to Thursday, April 15, from 10 am to 4pm.
Know Your Rights Week offers the public the opportunity to question the experts about their benefits. The charity estimates that more then one million pensioners do not claim up to £1.5 billion in various benefits that could improve their income and lifestyle, often because they do not realise they are entitled to them.
On Tuesday April 13 the Village Hall at the Mansion House will be officially opened by The Mayorof St Helens councillor David Craig and his Mayoress wife, Elizabeth.
Expert advice will be on hand from Your Rights Shop, DASH, Arthritis Care and St Helens Coalition, Care and Repair, Keep Warm, Carers UK, Community Health Council.
The hall will be open Tuesday 13, Wednesday 14 and Thursday 15 April from 10am to 4pm. Their Bistro will be open for the purchase of meals and snacks.
The information and advice is available to all ages.
