YOUNGSTERS and one golden 'oldie' are celebrating down at the Lowton Shotokan Karate Club.
They featured in a competition in Walsall, more than 400 entries in 30 separate categories.
Winners were led by Glyn Steadman (vets) the junior team kata (Steven Williams, Stephanie Williams, Samantha Barns) and the 13/15-Year 3rd kyu (Christina Barns).
Seconds: Samantha Barns in the mixed U8s, ladies team kumite (Lisa Kelly, Kath Byrne) and Rebecca Whitehead (11/12-Year).
Thirds: Ami Steadman (9/10-Year) and Sean McNamarah (13/15-Year).
Instructor is 3rd dan Brian Bentham, the current British Karate Association assistant coach and manager.
