BURNLEY FC chairman Barry KiIby has become the latest East Lancashire businessman to make the list of the country's 1,000 richest people.
Mr Kilby, who has made his fortune from his Blackburn-based media games business Europrint, is listed at 971st in the Sunday Times league table with an estimated wealth of around £21 million. Last year, American lottery giant GTECH bought an 80 per cent stake in Europrint from Mr Kilby and another shareholder in a £16.8 million deal.
Mr Kilby still owns 20 per cent of the firm and GTECH have an option to buy the remainder of the business within the next four years.
Europrint has grown into one of the area's most successful firms, producing newspaper and television games for customers around the world which are played by an estimated 100 million people a day.
It employs more than 40 people at its Blackburn headquarters and Altham printing site.
