KURT Nogan could be missing when Preston bid to reclaim an automatic promotion spot via an away trip to nearby Wigan Athletic tonight (kick off 7.45pm).
The former Burnley hitman is a doubt after taking a knock in Saturday's shock defeat by bottom club Macclesfield. Manager David Moyes will give Nogan a late fitness test and Jon Macken is favourite to deputise alongside Steve Basham should Nogan fail to make the grade.
Preston are boosted by the return to fitness of winger Lee Cartwright who looks to have shaken off the knee injury that has forced him out of North End's last eight league encounters. Midfielder Mark Rankine is available again after serving a one-match suspension on Saturday.
Squad: Lucas, Alexander, Clement, Murdock, Jackson, Gregan, McGregor, McKenna, Basham, Nogan, Eyres, Appleton, Macken, Darby, Cartwright, Rankine, Moilanen.
