I WANT to thank everyone who helped make our 'Easter Egg Run' this year such a success.
The behind-the-scenes helpers, often forgotten, included club members who wrote letters, paid visits and collected the eggs.
Our thanks also go to the people who gave eggs - members of the public and Woolworth's, the staff of Poundstretcher, Marks and Spencer, the News Centre and the Empire Bingo Hall, all of Accrington, and Asda, Rawtenstall.
The run itself involved 60 machines, 80 motorcyclists, 200-plus Easter eggs and the Glory Riders, Blackburn and district and Rossendale Valley Motor Cycle Clubs.
We did not collect eggs locally to take them miles away to hospitals which get hundreds given anyway. We distributed them locally - to homes and care centres which have never received any before.
Our special thanks also go to Eric and Christine, of the White Lion, Rawtenstall.
KEVIN SAVAGE, (chairman, Glory Riders Motorcycle Club), Lonsdale Street, Accrington.
