SCHOOLS throughout East Lancashire are discovering that 25 + 25 + 25 = 10. Since when?
Since the launch of our NIE Sport Extra project aimed at promoting an interest in reading, writing, maths and geography through sports linked assignments for KS2 and KS3 pupils. And the meaning of that seemingly impossible sum is that for only ten pounds, any school can order the minimum delivery of 25 copies of our brand new Sport Extra mini workbook, giving ideas for 25 sports related classroom assignments along with 25 copies of our newspaper including our weekly Sport Extra supplement, on any Wednesday of the summer term. What a great bargain!
The material is designed to continue our support of the National Year of Literacy, and all schools in our circulation area should have received information and order forms for the project.
Bonuses of the sports material include a sports reporting opportunity for pupils, with great prizes, and an invitation for schools to make visits to our newspaper production at half price, or, for those schools who are already using any of our other NIE projects, the visits are offered free of charge.
So why wait - let's make this a great sporting summer in and out of the classroom.
