A SIX-A-SIDE football tournament aimed at recruiting more ethnic minorities into the Army is being organised jointly by Nelson and Colne College and the Army.
The contest for school age youngsters will be held on May 8 between 10am and 4pm at Nelson and Colne College's Barrowford Road site.
Student services manager Ken Suggett said: "We staged a similar event last year in conjunction with 42 North West Brigade who hope to boost recruitment for ethnic minorities.
"Those taking part will get a chance to gain valuable insight into Army life by talking to careers officers and trying various tasks such as an assault course and shooting range. Food will be provided by the army's field kitchen."
