Wanderers, who finished second in the Ribblesdale League last season when Nawaz broke the league run record, have selected them in their side to face Whalley on Saturday but have been given no definite indication of when he will arrive.
The club has been in contact with the Pakistani batsman by letter during the winter and have sent a copy of his work permit. But with doubts increasing about his availability, they will contact the League about the matter tomorrow if they haven't heard from Nawaz.
