COMEDY fan Sandra Lambert will be one of the stars of the show at legendary drag star Frank Lammar's night club next week - even though her car was involved in an accident which left his luxury Rolls-Royce a write-off.
The star, best known as drag queen Foo Foo, is nursing an eight-inch gash in his head after the smash with Blackburn mum Sandra's car in Manchester city centre on Monday.
But good-natured Frank, who lives in Shuttleworth, said he bears Sandra and her passenger Denise Gooding no malice and has vowed that his show will go on.
Neighbours Sandra and Denise, of Childrey Walk, Newfield Park, Blackburn, were driving along Lever Street when they were forced to swerve into the right hand lane.
Sandra's red Volkswagen Golf hit Foo Foo's pale blue silver Spirit II which careered into some railings.
Shocked passers-by watched as the night club owner staggered from his wrecked car with blood pouring down his face. First-aider Denise, a senior security officer for Blackburn with Darwen Council, said: "He had a nasty cut on his forehead and another on the bridge of his nose.
"We helped him to the steps of a nearby office and then asked if anyone could phone for an ambulance.
"While we were waiting I wiped his cuts and cleaned the blood away, while Sandra applied pressure to his nose to stop the bleeding."
Sandra and Denise are both huge fans of Foo Foo and Sandra is due to go to his Manchester club Foo Foo's Palace next week for an office party.
Frank said: "It was an awful crash and I was lucky to get out of it without more serious injuries. I have had stitches in my face and I ache all over. I couldn't even wash my hair until today, but the show must go on.
"I will be back on stage this weekend and the make-up will cover up my wounds.
"Sandra and Denise will both be welcome in my club, but I'll be making sure I direct my comedy right at them."
