AN Atherton church is appealing to find the queens of 42 years.
St George's, which has ended the Rose Queen tradition, is trying to contact all the former church, rose, May and carnival queens crowned since 1957.
It wants to get them all together for one last time.
A special evening has been organised at the Derby Street junior school on May 8 at 7.30pm.
Anyone who can help in tracing the queens should contact J Bunting on 01942 204489.
