SHOP worker Hilda Singleton will have the fate of millions of hopeful punters at her finger tips on Saturday night when she presses the button to start the National Lottery balls in motion.
And she will be amazed if number two does not figure prominently in winning lines.
She got her chance to appear on television when, along with hundreds of others, she entered a competition to explain to the organisers why last week's bonus number - number 2 - had a special meaning for her.
Hilda, 52, of Risedale Drive, Longridge was married on September 2; her first home was was 2 Clayton Court; her present home is 22 Risedale Drive; she has two sons, Lee, 31, born on the 22nd of the second month and Jason, 29, born on the 12th of the second month; her dad's birthday was on the 22nd of the 12th and husband Les's birthday is on the 12th of the11th.
Hilda, who works at the Spar shop in Berry Lane, Longridge, said: "I am thrilled to be appearing on television. I never dreamed I would be selected. People from all over the country applied and even when I was told I was on a short list I didn 't think I would be lucky."
