RESIDENTS living near a blighted bus shelter say they will dread summer until the bus stop is moved.
Council bosses plan to rotate the shelter on Aldfield Avenue, Lea, in a bid to discourage troublesome youths, who have made the spot a regular haunt.
People living near it want it moving, while the local residents' association insists it must stay.
And stay it will, much to the disgust of locals like Kristina Unsworth, who says her life has been made a misery by the rowdy teenagers.
She said:"They stand their shouting and screaming, kicking bottles and thing around. Some nights they run to our door, knock on it, and then run off.
"They are only 15, but they are often drunk."
Lea Police are keeping an eye on the situation, making sure all reported cases of juvenile nuisance are dealt with.
A spokesman of Preston Council said to remove the bus shelter would "constitute a loss of amenities for the local area."
