MY name is Greg Searle, the British Olympic rower.
I am writing to ask Citizen readers to sign up for a charity event with a very big difference!
I am looking for 60 daredevils to join a fantastic white water rafting expedition down the Zambezi River, Zimbabwe, in October 1999, in aid of the charity Scope, (formerly The Spastics Society).
The gruelling 120km rafting challenge will take fund-raisers to some of the most rugged and remote areas in southern Africa, as they negotiate massive swirling Grade Five rapids.
Rafting down the Zambezi is a truly awesome challenge - totally different to rowing on flat, calm water
If your readers can pluck up courage, why not call Scope on 0500 575 222 for a copy of the information pack. This will be a once in a lifetime opportunity and no experience is necessary.
