Colne 2 Maghull 2
FOUR second-half goals saw Denzil Hart's men share the points with fellow strugglers Maghull.
The visitors opened the scoring just after the break when Paul Cronin turned the ball into the Colne goal. On the hour Colne equalised when referee Burston conferred with his linesmen and awarded a penalty and Steve Gavin converted from the spot.
Maghull hit back in the 75th minute when a mix-up in the defence led to the ball being put beyond the Colne keeper to give them a 2-1 lead. Some excellent play between Gavin and Mark Holland led to the latter forcing the ball past the advancing keeper and the ball hitting the underside of the bar to level the scores.
Missed chances by the Reds in the first half and by Mark Holland in the dying seconds failed to clinch the victory.
Colne will welcome back Barry White from suspension for their trip to second-bottom Blackpool Mechanics tomorrow. But Kevin Scarbrough looks like being absent after picking up a rib injury in last weekend's 3-2 defeat at Tetley Walker.
