FOLLOWING a number of incidents concerning the Blackburn Hawks and their coach Bobby Haig, I was appalled to read (LET, March 13) that he had been convicted of burglary when he is in such a high-profile position.
I have watched the Hawks on numerous occasions this season and have seen the good response towards Mr Haig.
How can this man betray the fans' support and how can the Blackburn Arena continue to employ a man guilty of stealing money?
I also understand that Mr Haig helps to coach the youngsters of Blackburn. What sort of example is this setting them and why does he feel he can abuse his position and the trust of others?
Surely, Mr Haig's position within the Blackburn Arena has to be seriously considered, not just by the Arena management but by Mr Haig himself, if he has any sort of feelings towards the followers and supporters of the Blackburn Hawks.
