RANGERS found the going tough in the first half going 2-0 down after 30 minutes, but gradually they started to boss the midfield with Mills and Charnock hustling the Oswaldtwistle midfielders into making mistakes.
The second half was nearly all Rangers with Strutz and Brannigan catching Oswaldtwistle out with their strength and pace. Strutz broke clear to score a cracking goal after 52 minutes.
Rangers keeper Vickers pulled off two stunning saves to keep his team in the game. In the 75th minute David Strutz received the ball from Lee Charnock and raced through the Ozzy defence, hit a crisp right footer, the keeper made a good save but Strutz was on it in a flash to pull his team back to 2-2.
Rangers then hit the bar from a 25 yard shot from Lee Charnock. This match was a credit to both teams. Manager's man of the match was David Strutz and ref's man of the match John Vickers.
