HERE'S a sight you won't see every day - the Queen supping a few pints and whooping it up in a Blackpool nightclub.
Her Majesty will be doing just that tonight (April 15) when she mixes with partygoers at Brannigans, turning tenth birthday celebrations into a right royal knees-up.
Previous visits to the Fylde Coast have been a little more sedate, touring the likes of Rossall School and the Tower Ballroom, but for one night only she is letting her crown slip and joining in the fun.
Prepare to do a double-take, however, as Our Liz is none other than impersonator Elizabeth Richards. The royal twin is one of several VIPs invited to the Brannigans birthday party which will feature a live performance from pop band Heaven 17.
And organisers are hoping just as many fans turn up to see the special guest as when Elizabeth previously visited Blackpool, turning many a head when she pulled pints at Yates's Wine Lodge back in April 1996.
This time around she has set down a challenge for any Fylde folk who also believe they are the spitting image of her Royal Highness.
All are invited to the Market Street venue for a royal line-up with a special prize going to the best entry.
Liz will judge the lookalike competition, but added: "I just hope they're not too good otherwise I could be out of a job."
