WE have just been for a day trip to Blackpool and enjoyed the amusements, rides, Tower, shops and trams on the sea front.
However the amount of litter was a disgrace. As a child I was taught by my parents not to throw down rubbish. I now teach my children the same, but many adults don't seem to care about this.
We couldn't find a tidy place to sit on the beach, there didn't seem to be nearly enough bins, toilets were closed, and dogs were allowed on the beach where children played in the sand.
Dog fouling can cause blindness as well as other diseases. Why doesn't the council clamp down on this by supplying more bins and doing spot fines for dog fouling, with persistent culprits being fined heavily in court.
