YEEEEAH, Atherton is gearing up for nine days of festival fun next month.
And among the events is a western line dance at the Jubilee Hall.
A charity market puts the show on the road on May 15 at the Jubilee Hall, 10am to 1pm.
A brass band concert follows on Sunday at the Formby Hall, featuring the Glossop Old Band at 7.30pm.
On Monday, 17th, Glenn Atkinson will give an illustrated talk on Worsley underground canals at Atherton Library at 7.30pm.
Meanwhile the first of two school concerts gets underway at the Formby Hall at 7pm.
The second follows on Tuesday in the same place at the same time.
Tuesday also brings an under five's storytime at Atherton Library from 2pm to 3pm.
On Wednesday, 19th, a festival coffee morning opens at Atherton Baptist Church between 9am and 11.30am, and Coffee Pot Entertains at 2pm and 8pm with bingo.
An Atherton Town Trail meets at Atherton Library also on Wednesday at 6.30pm for an historic tour of the town with Tony Ashcroft.
Good Food Made Easy - a cookery demo at Atherton Library starts at 1.30pm with Masterchef contestant Graham Underwood on Thursday, May 20.
On the same day a fast and fun filled revue "The Impact Experience" will hit the boards at the Formby Hall at 7.30pm.
Friday, 21st, brings An Introduction Into Aromatherapy at Atherton Library at 1.30pm, and there will be a festival dance in the Formby Hall at 7.30pm with Jane Hamer, the Blackpool Tower organist.
It's Abracadabra magic time at Atherton Library on Saturday from 10.30am to 11.30am and the western line dance will be at the Jubilee Hall, Crabtree Lane, at 7.30pm on the same day.
The extravaganza ends with a Festival Songs of Praise at Atherton Independent Methodist Church, Mealhouse Lane, on Sunday, 23rd, at 3pm.
