Giggs' goal also had journalists searching their memory banks for something to equal it and the Press Association included a goal against Burnley in their list of a dozen all-time greats.
It was Eddie Gray's second in Leeds United's 2-1 win over the Clarets at Elland Road on April 4, 1970.

THE CLARETS final game of the season at Northampton on Saturday, May 8 is all-ticket for Burnley fans with 872 seats available, price £10.50 adults and £7.50 concessions.
Tickets will go on sale to season-ticket holders (One voucher, one ticket) next Wednesday until close of business on Saturday, May 1.
Any remaining tickets will go on general sale from Tuesday, May 4.
Wheelchair helper tickets need to be ordered from Northampton are £6 each.
BURNLEY reserves are away to West Bromwich Albion in the Pontins League First Division next Wednesday night (kick-off 7.15).
BURNLEY'S Football in the Community Programme hold soccer clinics at Turf Moor on Monday and Wednesday from 5-6pm, and at Centre Vale, Todmorden at the same time on Tuesday.
