LANCASHIRE FA Football Development Scheme are holding a Junior Team Manager's Course for managers or coaches of junior football teams who wish to improve their knowledge of coaching.
The course will be held on three sessions - seminar and emergency first aid sessions, Friday, April 30 (6.30pm-9.30pm) and Tuesday, May 4 (6.30pm-9.30pm). Practical sessions (Astroturf pitch) Sunday, May 2 (5-8pm).
The course will be staffed by Derek Egan, Assistant Football Development Officer and the course fee will be £35. This fee includes the official FA course pack, all tuition and assessment fees.
Coaching Certificate Course which replaces the old FA Preliminary Award aimed at managers or coaches of junior/senior teams who wish to further improve their knowledge and understanding of coaching.
The 60-hour course will be organised as follows: Initial training programme - seminars: Tuesdays and Thursdays June 8, 10, 15, 17 and 22 (6.30-9.30pm), practical: Saturdays and Sundays June 12, 13, 19, 20 and 27 (9-5pm).
Practical coaching and oral interviews: dates and times to be confirmed during initial training programme.
The course will staffed by Derek Egan and will cost £95 which includes the official FA course pack, a soccer tactics and skills coaching book, a referee's chart and all tuition and assessment fees.
FA Basic Treatment of Injury Course will run over eight weeks and a further two sessions for exams. Dates and times are: Thursdays April 29, May 6, 13, 20 and 27, June 3, 10 and 17 (7-9pm).
The course will be staffed by Geoff Wareing of the Lancashire FA and the cost will be £45 which includes an official course workbook, all tuition and examination fees.
All the courses will be held at The County Ground, Thurston Road, Leyland.
