I AM writing in the hope of jogging somebody's memory. Last year, on March 18, my father, Mr Robert Wilding, was going up the escalator next to the General Post Office in Ainsworth Street, Blackburn. When he got to the top, it jerked and threw him down, causing horrific injuries all over his body.
Paramedics attended him and he was taken to the Blackburn Infirmary for treatment because he was in a bad way. Since this accident, my father has died.
As he was falling, he caught a lady who was on the escalator and she fell with him. We would like to get in touch with her as the matter is now in the hands of a solicitor.
Any information will be treated in the fullest confidence by me and my husband.
ALICE SUMNER (Mrs), 10 Frederick Row, Blackburn BB1 1NS.
