A TEENAGER has headed off to Thailand thanks to help from a textiles firm.
The community fund of Gaskell Textiles in Accrington donated cash to Pamela Smith who was invited to take part in a three-month exchange project in the Far East.
The 19-year-old from Oswaldtwistle, a former pupil at Rhyddings High School, is one of 16 people from across the UK selected for the International Volunteers Exchange Party.
The team will take part in a variety of community ventures in rural parts of Thailand.
