TORY MP Nigel Evans has urged Lancashire education director Chris Trinnick to find extra school places in the Clitheroe area.
The Ribble Valley member met Mr Trinnick and told him it was unacceptable to bus youngsters many miles outside the area for their schooling.
He said that if extra places could not be created at Ribblesdale High School then other local schools would have to look to increase their numbers.
The MP has also been in talks with Clitheroe Royal Grammar School about the possibility of increasing the number of places there.
Afterwards Mr Evans said: "I am confident that no Ribble Valley youngster need be bussed outside the area.
"They should not suffer because of insufficient planning.
"Local schools must offer local youngsters the places they need and deserve and its up to all of us to ensure that that is what they get."
Parents are furious at their children being forced to travel to Accrington to school because classrooms in Clitheroe are full up.
