PROTESTERS said a huge "no" to plans to close a much loved old folk's home.
Campaigners collected more than 2,000 names in a bid to stop the shutdown of Andrew Smith House on Marsden Hall Road, Nelson.
And Lancashire county councillors were condemned for failing to attend two meetings with residents and relatives. Andrew Smith House was one of four homes facing the axe. The house, which escaped closure two years ago, was home to 26 old folk.
