HIGH school students are brushing up their radio technique for a day on the air waves next month.
The team from Ivy Bank, Burnley has been allocated a frequency by the Radio Authority - 107fm.
The voice of Radio IBFM will broadcast from 8am to 7pm on Wednesday May 26. The project has been launched in partnership with East Lancashire Business Partnership, Clayton-le-Moors.
There will be a mix of music, news and interviews with guests including Burnley FC manager Stan Ternent, dentist Dr Barbara Mitton and a fashion expert from Next. There will also be film news from Apollo Cinemas and a holiday spot from Altham's Travel.
The Lancashire Evening Telegraph will supply local news and there will be commercials and jingles.
The broadcasting team will be: Claire Plane, Andrew Stubbs, Jill Hargreaves, Katie Winstanley, Joanne Webb, Tracy Wilkinson, Kim Jackson, Danielle Eglin, Jack Hartley, Scott Summers, Nicky Thompson and Matthew Bailey.
