POLICE are hunting in the Blackburn area for a teenage girl who has been missing from home for more than a week.
Gemma Victoria Webster walked out of her Fleetwood home just days after celebrating her 15th birthday.
Police believe she is staying with a male friend in Blackburn and are appealing for the public's help to track her down.
The youngster was last seen by her parents when she left her Fylde coast home on Tuesday, April 13.
She rang home and spoke to her parents on the evening of Sunday, April 18. The teenager has never left home before and concern is growing for her safety.
The phone call was made from a phone box in Primrose Hill in the Audley area of Blackburn and Gemma told her worried parents she was coming home.
A spokesman for Fleetwood police said: "Obviously we are growing increasingly concerned about Gemma. We would like to here from her or anyone who knows where she is."
Gemma is slim, has a pale complexion, blue eyes and shoulder length dyed blond hair. She was last seen wearing a blue Reebok jacket, black Adidas tracksuit bottoms and an Arsenal FC scarf.
Anyone with information should ring Fleetwood police on 01253 876611.
