A MAN died after his motorbike crashed into another car on Ribchester Road, Ribchester.
The man's Honda 750cc motorbike was heading towards Blackburn when it crashed into a Citroen AX saloon car which was turning across the road into a picnic site, at noon yesterday.
The motorbike rider was Peter Ellison, 49, of Whittingham Road, Longridge, a brewery porter. A paramedic attempted resuscitation but he died at the scene.
The Citroen driver, Adam England, 58, of Selbourne Close, Bolton, taken to Blackburn Royal Infirmary suffering from shock.
A short section of Barker Brow was closed for two hours following the incident.
Accrington Road Safety Unit are appealing to any witnesses who saw the incident to contact 01254 353764.
