ANGRY traders were promised a meeting to discuss ways of promoting Accrington town centre. The pledge of talks with an "open agenda" were made by Hyndburn council Labour leader George Slynn. Traders protesting against road closures and pedestrianisation had promised a one-day truce to support Accrington's St George's Day celebrations the following Saturday.
